![]() ![]() Haven't ever sent something back cause it wasn't good. I also don't make complaints, unless I didn't get food. For reference, I'm not picky and clean my plate anyways, but if I had to be picky about something. Which Btw, I've been to kinda 'lower-tiered' ones: represented by kinda bad customer service, food taking kinda longer than you'd think, or food also not being the standard. Everything has been great, so that's reflected in my rating. “I've only been through the drive-thru at this location, but can't really go wrong imo. Will definitely be back again to get some more of their okazu-ya before they turn into a bento shop! Notes: Small lot in front that can get crowded. The best part was the hash! It had an amazing flavor and the crust was sooo crispy! I'm glad I got 2! I wish they had chow fun, but unfortunately the lady said they were sold out. They gave a good amount of nishime and the flavor was good. ![]() I guess you have to go right when they open to get everything! The hamburger patty was good. I went at about 8am and they were out of a lot of things, unfortunately. The woman in the front is efficient in getting orders packed and with payment. I will certainly miss their okazu-ya!This little hole in the wall usually has a line, but it moves daily quickly. When I got there, they had a sign that said they are closing from and they will be stopping Okazu-ya style and turning transitioning into selling premade bentos. “I heard that Chi-Chan's was closing, so I rushed over to make sure I got some food before they closed. Can add on extra nuts for $2 if you want the nuts.Kid-friendliness: A lot of kid friendly options on the menu so kids would really enjoy it as well! (Add ons like sprinkles and marshmallows!)” Nice little perk!Vegetarian options: Great options for vegetarians! Love the sorbet!Dietary restrictions: I am a vegetarian and of course had no trouble finding vegetarian options on the menu! Also for nut allergies it is very accommodating. Also, they give out punch cards so after 10 visits you get a free one. Very pleasant experience and will be back again for sure! If you are out and about and happen to see this truck parked nearby, give them a try! Totally worth it. Also came in really great solid containers with lids which I think is great since it’s “on-the-go.” We were very impressed! The owners were so kind and we struck up nice conversation. So glad they did! It was absolutely delicious, and I HIGHLY recommend getting their sorbet added to your bowl- it was amazing, I would buy just that if I could too! The fruit was very fresh and it was a great size. “We were in Kaneohe looking for açaí bowls and google recommended Sunset bowls. A great Thanksgiving dinner, and we'll probably do the same thing for Christmas.” There was more than enough to go around for the 8 of us, along with the other pot luck items (ham, mashed potatoes, rice, salad, and dessert) we had for dinner. Great selections that included Ootoro, Inada (baby Hamachi), and Uni, along with at least half a dozen other raw and seared items. It was still fresh and perfect the next night for all of us to enjoy. The platter was ready on time, and I wrapped it in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge. Since they were closed on Thanksgiving day, we made arrangements for pickup on Wednesday night. Mark and Shawn know what kind of fish I like, so I just asked them to put together a sashimi platter and gave them my budget. I've ordered sashimi platters from them before, and since it was less than a week til Thanksgiving, I contacted Tanuki to see if they could accommodate me. Since we're all not big turkey fans, we decided to have an alternative menu. This was my first Thanksgiving home in five years (instead of in Vegas), I contacted my family to get together. (I know, I know-the real crab is a very good thing!) Since my husband is a small eater, we gave half the pack to my Dad and his fishing partner, and they both whacked it! Oh, I got a free small drink with my meal, too.“I have to give a short shout-out to one of my favorite sushi spots, Tanuki Sushi. He's not used to real crab, so he declared it too fishy. ![]() My husband, who is originally from the East Coast, ordered the California roll pack. I'm not sure if that's standard-since some people really like fat-or just my bad luck since I don't eat fat. The smoked meat was a tad disappointing I had two pieces that were mostly fat. The unagi was soft and delicious as was the kalbi. I ordered the LBS special bowl with unagi, kalbi and smoked meat. Within five minutes or so, our food was ready. The cashier was friendly and took our order. We walked up to the window and were greeted immediately. I wanted to try someplace new and I had read a few reviews of this place, so my husband and I went. ![]()
